If you are under 11 years old (in year six or below at school) you will
find lots to do at St Clement's both on a Sunday and in the week.
If you are aged 3 to 11 then Junior Church is for you. We
meet in the Family Centre on Cross Street from 10.20 am to approximately
12.00 noon (or when the morning service finishes) on the second and fourth Sundays of the month. Through activities such
as stories, crafts, games, quizzes and singing we explore the Bible and how
its teaching is relevant to children today. It is a great place to make new
friends, have fun, and to learn more about God.
Twice a year we run a Junior Church service where all children can have the
opportunity to take part as we lead the adult congregation in the morning
worship.
As well as our regular Junior Church sessions we have some activity days in
the holidays, outings and opportunities to join in Diocesan children's
events.
On the weeks when Junior Church does not happen, all ages
meet together for worship in the church, and one of these services each
month is a communion service.
If you are too young for Junior Church there is a crèche at every
morning service where there are people to look after you and lots of toys
to play with.
If you are under 4 and want to meet some friends on a
Thursday morning in term time come along to the Family Centre from 10.00 am
to 11.45 am. Bring Mum, Dad or whoever looks after you and you can play
while they chat. There is always a drink and biscuit for you and a chance
to sing some songs together.
If you are aged 3 to 5, St Clement's runs a Pre-School each
morning in term time where you can make friends with other children and
learn while you play together. At Pre-School there is sand, water, a chance
to make things, bikes to ride, a climbing frame, construction, dressing up
and lots more. The leaders are always there to teach you new things.
Mum or Dad can find out more about Pre-School by ringing them on 01865 202512.
