I was converted at St Clement's Church at the age of thirteen and have been an active member ever since. I met my wife Sonia at the church youth club and we have been married since 1959 and have two married daughters and three grandchildren.

I was church warden for nineteen years and became a Licensed Lay Minister in 1969.

I worked as a technician for Oxford University Engineering Department and was head of a teaching workshop. I retired in July 2003.
